@harryp3's Activity Notes:

Last Sunday I ran the Southampton Marathon, and due to some minor niggles that I picked up, I hadn't run since it until today's run. I still felt bad enough to skip Parkrun on Saturday, but I'd started feeling like my legs were back to normal yesterday and today, so decided to head out for a run. I didn't want to focus too much on splits, but run quite steady (somewhere around 4:20/km) and decided on one loop of Eaton Park and then one loop of UEA lake before heading back to the Uni house. The loop of Eaton Park was just about fine but soon after I started feeling the pain I picked up from the Marathon, and from then on it was a little bit of struggle. I decided to walk the hill back up from the lake, and then just run at a really easy pace back so I didn't cause too much problems for myself. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to rest up for longer and it's really quite annoying, as I have signed up for a 10k road race at the end of June that I'll be targetting for a big PB. I'll play it as it goes, but I'm thinking that three days rest before trying again on the weekend. Running is the only thing that's going to get me through exam season, so hopefully I'll be healed up soon!

Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too!
