@mstafford's Activity Notes:

Got out for a run by my onesies at lunchtime today -- felt really nice. I'm starting to get to the point where I almost need to get a bit of exercise each day, so I don't get stressed out. I suppose that's a good thing? It sounds similar to how people talk when they're addicted to substances. I suppose that's why they call it a 'runners high' or something like that.

Regardless -- I went out today with the intention of going a little bit quicker. I think I may have come out of the gates a bit too quick though, as I started to lose my wind about halfway through. Checked my watch a few times and saw that I was moving at a 4:40/km pace, which is definitely faster than normal. Though, it did feel good (until it didn't). Satisfied overall though -- managed to pull in at the usual stopping point with a ~5:30/km pace, despite some walk breaks and getting stuck at a red light for the full signal duration.

Considering scoping out the ParkRun in town this weekend!

In moderately unrelated news, my running group at work is interested in hearing me talk about @exhaust and what it's all about -- so I'm gonna start pulling some people in! Which is reigniting my inspiration in tidying up some of the many loose ends on this project. Stay tuned!

Nice work...sometimes you need that fast start to push you a little harder. Regards Vince

Thanks dude! Starting to slowly feel like I'm getting back into it. Really enjoying having the indoor bike trainer to get some good cardio in without absoloutely killing my legs, too.

Cheers!

I agree! Getting out midday is so great during a mentally tough day at work. I used to be able to do this almost every day but my current job prevents that most days now. Nice pace! Hope you came back with a much clearer brain!

Definitely came back with a clearer brain (not that it ever gets that clear). Just gearing up to head out with work buddies for a post-work run! Too nice of an evening not to.
