Here's the effort that I managed to muster up on this beautiful March Equinox! Pretty warm out there today (in comparison to the last few weeks, at least) -- but I'll try not to complain. Felt pretty good out there for the most part -- but got pretty run down pretty quickly. Took a fair amount of breaks to grab a sip of water at each fountain I passed, because I typically drink nothing but espresso at work all day.
Wish I could have maintained negative splits over the duration of the run, but what're you gonna do? I'm just psyched I got out there.. I think this might be my first 10k of the year, if I'm not mistaken. I've got another 10k race in a few weeks in Vancouver (with 46,000 other people), and another at the end of April here in Victoria (with 10,000+ people). Excited to hit the ground running this spring!
Took a few shameful selfies over the run today. One at the start; one at the 5k turnaround; one at the 10k finish!
