I've actually been wanting to do this run for a while. Since I skipped my usual weekly Wednesday morning long run, I decided I would tackle it during my lunch break.
Every time I get out of work, I see Mount Roskill in the back ground of the suburban landscape, like a volcano jutting out from an island. Well, that's exactly what it is, it an extinct(hopefully) volcano, like the many that are jutted around Auckland, and although one of the smaller ones in Auckland, still seemed like a good challenge for the day.
I wanted to get out for at least 40 minutes, so planned to do hill repeats up the Mount for as long as I could. The annoying thing is, it is only about 500m from the car park to the top, but that just meant I needed to do about 8 climbs to get my time done. It was tough work and will try to add this in at least once a week, cause it hopefully gives me a lot of strength.

That's a lot of climbing and it's cool to run up a volcano. We are lacking big hills in my area. I need to get back to Scotland where they have plenty.0.032 SBD | 1 | 0 |
