Today was a test of whether my body can cope with three days of exercise in a row with a cycle ride on Friday and parkrun yesterday. Well, I got up eventually to head out. I was playing at another open mic last night, but did not stay too late or drink too much (I was driving anyway). I went for my usual Sunday loop at a steady pace. It was a little too steady to start with, but I tried to find a little more speed later on to keep it around 6min/km. My legs were feeling tired. It was a lovely morning, but a bit warm again. It is not due to be as hot as yesterday, which was exceptional for us.
I saw lots of other runners out. Maybe there is another event coming up. Someone I know did 18 miles of marathon training around the same time, but that would have been too much for me.
The Google Fit app gives you 'heart points' for activity beyond what you get from just walking around. They recommend getting at least 150 of these per week and I have almost four times that, so I guess I am on the right path. All this activity helps keep my weight down as I do like my food and a few sweet treats. I just have to find a balance so I am not tired all the time, but then I recover fairly quickly from a workout.
