It's been a long week and am glad its almost over. I am running today to get out of work for a little bit and clear my head. Work has been sending me a little insane, so the running keeps me grounded and gives me some fresh air.

I have been adding in a 10 minutes HIIT session at the end of my Friday lunch time run, but it was almost one of those days where it just seemed to hard. I was prepared to skip it, but then thought about one simple thing that changed my mind...

"Would the athlete I aspire to be, skip the training session"

For me personally there are times when I probably need to take a break, but on other occasions, I will skip a training session because of some pointless justification that I am making for myself. I am happy to accept that I would do something like that now, the athlete I aspire to be, I hope would not.
