Ok i’m hurting after this. Planned a long slow one and it ended up being long but nowhere near slow enough. Due to current covid restrictions in England we have to stay local. No one knows at what point local is no longer local but i’m pretty sure I can’t drive for an hour to Derbyshire to run through the Peak District so I started and finished this one at my front door. The first 16k was mainly along footpaths and the final 16k was all road hence the faster than usual pace for a long run. I would have normally stuck with 9 min miles had it been a trail run. And probably would have finished significantly stronger because I could really have done with a carry for the last 4k! Anyway, all done. Slowly edging closer to 30 miles. The training continues. Have a great weekend everyone x

pretty much! Its a 'rule' that is so vague its practically pointless. Lots of people seem to be bending it to suit whatever they want to do anyway.

that's an impressive pace for a 20mile run (even if it accidental!)

Thanks Dan, I was sure feeling it afterwards! Hopefully by next month we can leave our “local” areas again
