Once again, heavy snow was forecast, and yet again I was disappointed. I woke this morning to a bit of frost which melted away quickly, and thick fog. No matter, I was due a run to do so I laced up my shoes and set off.
The fog meant the temp was approx 2C, which still isn't too cold and so I was still in just shorts and t-shirt. The few runners I saw all had loads of layers on (trousers, coats, hats AND gloves) and I don't know how they do it! After just 15 minutes I was warm and comfortable with just the minimum shorts/t-shirt combo, if I had any more layers on I would surely overheat!
For the run itself, I elected to do the basic route around the village (5km) and at the end I still felt comfortable so did a 2nd smaller loop to take me up to nearly 8km. Pace was slow but relatively consistent.
