Long run, by @dannewton

A day of from work, but still busy times. We did our xmas food shop at 8AM this morning before the expected crowds and happily we were in and out in 45 minutes (we don't dawdle!). After I decided to get the run out of the way before lunchtime, and as I had some spare time today, I chose to do the weekly 'long run' today.

I did the same route as the last 'long run' except this time I ran further along the road before heading home. Managed to add 1.3km compared to last time, and the pace is still pretty reasonable.

Again, I'm still feeling reasonably comfortable at this distance, but in the last km I noticed a twinge in my left ankle was beginning to develop. I'm not too concerned as I am pushing hard with increasing the time spent running each week, but I will need to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't develop and get worse.

Run complete, tasty ham, cheese and mushroom omelette eaten for lunch, and I now have the rest of the afternoon to chill and relax. I then have 2 more crazy busy days at work to get through and then I can enjoy Christmas!
