Sunday run: Cool and bright, by @steevc

I have been saying recently that it has been getting cooler and this morning was no exception with temperatures around 8C, but it was sunny out and I did not feel the need for extra layers. I rarely manage to get up very early on a Sunday, but I think I am entitled to lie in at weekends. It was a good run as I was feeling pretty strong and was not struggling to keep up the pace. I have a 10km event in a month where I would like to be a little quicker, but running in a crowd should help with that.

I have some nice routes to run around here, but I tend to stick to my standard Sunday loop with whatever extensions I feel like doing. It is all on hard surfaces, but a fair bit is away from any roads.

Wildlife spotted today included a grey heron and a white egret. Podcasts listened to were The News Quiz, Radiolab, Talk Python to Me and Internet of Things. I had some berries from the garden with my breakfast.

I have a few chores to do around the house today. Various things seem to need fixing. Hope everyone is having a good weekend and the runners have good weather.
