Having run yesterday I was not feeling like exerting myself too much, but still wanted to cycle home from work. I thought I would just take it steadily, but there are still a few downhill stretches where I can go fast. It was fairly cool and I just checked to see it was 7C warmer last time I did this a couple of weeks ago. I started with a jacket, but soon warmed up and had to take it off.
It was an uneventful ride. There were a few people out walking dogs and a couple of cyclists, but this is still working hours for most people. I am lucky that I can finish early on a Friday.
As I write this it just started raining heavily, so I was lucky to miss that. The garden could do with some rain. I am playing at open mic tonight, so I need to prepare for that. I also have a performance at the village fete tomorrow with our jazz group and next weekend I'm playing at a festival as part of a duo. I never thought I would be so busy musically.
