Probably should have got some better images as it was a nice night to be running along the Auckland city waterfront. My usual Friday run has a tempo run or time trial around the closest running track but as my girlfriend and I needed to register for our respective races this Sunday as part of the Auckland Marathon we thought it would be nice to run down by the waterfront.
The plan was to warm up for a few kilometers and then push to race pace for one or two kilometers. It was good to be running at pace but only held it for 1,2km. It was late in the day and was a little tired from a day at work. I am hoping I will be fresher on Sunday for my first 5km race in a long time.
